Valencia Tourism Information
Valencia is a great place to find affordable luxury! Delicious cuisine, excellent local wines and upmarket shopping. This buzzing city has an exciting nightlife and there's also a magical Old Quarter.
The Old Quarter is located in a very small area of the city where old and new are in close proximity of each other. Lovely shops, bars and restaurants and just five minutes away is the fairytale historic quarter which includes the trendy area of Barrio del Carmen where some of the best nightlife is.
There are some excellent places to eat. Visit the stunning aquarium (the largest in Europe) located in the jaw-dropping City of Arts and Sciences. Don't forget to visit the lovely Turia Gardens which are an essential part of this magical city.
A very important bonus is that this magical city is situated next to the Mediterranean sea. There are miles and miles of white sandy beaches and a promenade lined with restaurants and bars where you can sample the local cuisine.
Valencia is full of cultural events and there's always something good to see at the theatre or cinema. During the summer months there are a variety of films you can see in the open-air in the gardens of Palau de la Musica.
During the warmer months the city comes alive with people enjoying the moonlit nights on the terraces and open-air bars of Barrio del Carmen which is in the north-east of the old part of the city and Calle Caballeros is where a lot of the action is in the clubs and bars of the area.
Canovas Square is an upmarket area of Valencia on the other side of the Turia Gardens with Avenida Blasco Ibáñez and Aragón which is in the University area of Valencia close by. Juan Llorens is about a fifteen minute walk from Barrio del Carmen and is mainly full of trendy locals. Calle Juan Lloren consists of two rows of disco-bars which are full of life until 4am. The late night Havana Valencia is on the same street and open until 7am.
