What is the FIA WTCC?

The WTCC is a car race series - the World Touring Car Championship. This race series was set up in 2005 and has established itself - after Formula 1 and the World Rally Championship - as the third most important World Championship to be organised by the FIA. This puts the FIA WTCC at the top of the league in touring car racing.

World championship points are won by touring cars very similar to series production cars. Alterations are kept to a minimum and may only be carried out if the regulations expressly permit them. This ensures that everyone has an equal chance on the race track and also keeps the teams' costs within manageable limits. It's all about motor sport and it's enjoyed by fans all over the world.
